DEVIL-LIGHTS  are sometimes called  SPOOK-LIGHT or  DEVIL's-JACK-O-LANTERN  -- on tour it is rare, but sometimes bursts of energy are seen or photographed.   Words of wisdom -- when you tour with ALLAN PACHECO bring your camera. Allan disagrees with a lot of the WEIRD BEARDS when it comes to hauntings --- DEVIL LIGHTS --  according to ALLAN are a different energy than ghost vapors or shades.  

Below: End of a tour at La Posada -- happy campers. No, DEVIL's-LIGHTs   encounter on this tour -- but a  GHOSTO-METER  did register something at a haunted pathway!

ABOVE/ GHOST ORBS  or  DEVIL-LIGHTS  = SWAMP GAS CLAIM THE EXPERTS  ------ NYET! NO! NIEN!   EL WRONGO!!!!!!!  BELOW: OF THE  SANTA FE TRAIL, ON INVESTIGATION.  Even in limited light you can see the old wagon trail.

The following objects in the following photos have been labeled as swamp gas. NO they are not! There was not a swamp or bog like greens near where these photos were taken. These globulars or  DEVIL-LIGHTS  have an energy and are rarely seen.

These ectoplasmic thaaangs are of can be different colors, but they tend to be mainly white. The orange-redish burst of power, can be aggressive, they tent to blink out after advancing or while  retreating.

The picture below was sent to ALLAN. One wonders what is burred in the cellar, stashed in the attic or under the ground outside? These hemispherical like lights,  DEVIL-LIGHTS, or SPOOK-LIGHTS are found mainly where bodies have been buried or tragedy has taken place. YIKES!

Some pundits claim this type of globular is that of a Bruja or Brujo. In translation it means either a female or male witch, and it's their energy.

HOW AGGReSIVE ARE THESE ENERGIES?  Here is an example, one of these strangely colored uneven globulars went aggressively towards a female psychic, she put out her arms in front of her face as to protect herself, the SPOOK LIGHT retreated. The orb, or  DEVIL-LIGHT went after her again, she again put her hands up and the thaang retreated and went away to where?

Unfortunately ,I only have these pictures of this phenomena, These energies tend to drain camera batteries, that is all I was able to shoot at different locations. As for the nay sayers, yes, orbs of all colors can be light reflection or the result of a dirty camera glass, and a lot of snapshots can be explained away.

However, when you are in an area, and your batteries drain fast, zip-zip, and things start happening, then you have made contact! The energy from the beyond can materialize as orbs, burst of light, or ghostly apparitions or , DEVIL-LIGHTS ; A.K.A.  GHOST-LIGHTS.

 Sometimes when encountering a  DEVIL-LIGHTS  you feel the presence of something unworldly. On occasion the DEVIL-LIGHTS or SPOOK-LIGHT does give off an evil or ominous energy. 

DEVIL-LIGHTS  are not a new phenomena--this circa 1955 photo below is of the Hornet-Light or Hornet-Lights in Missouri. Is it Swamp Gas ? HARDLY!!!! The Devil-Light or orb is a reflection of gas and light or perhaps camera malfunction, according to the skeptics. That explanation I doubt, because this road or area is legitimately haunted ------ there is more on this ghostly lane farther down the page .

The point being of this old photo here, is that DEVIL-LIGHTS or orbs are not a new phenomena. They did not start appearing with the advent of digital or VHS equipment. I have no idea what these burst of color are. It is of note that Santa Fe's La Posada resort at times does have a quasi DEVIL-LIGHTS phenomena, this is related to the ghost of Julia Staab that haunts the old mansion area. In the past, Julia's ghost has been seen in human outline or in white cloud. Above left and Below. Skeptics will claim it is trick of light, swamp gas, aperture failure.  Others will say it is possible, that it is a ghost that was photographed, or a Devil Light.   You be the judge.  Below -- on part of a section on the OLD SANTA FE TRAIL -- the wagon route. The below area was known for its paranormal haps, be it ghosts, doorways to other dimensions, strange deaths, possessions, etc.  In the 1960s this area had the nickname and still does to a degree, of the; FORBIDDEN ZONE".

Sometimes in a area where there is a lot of paranormal activity, somebody has taken the time to build a small altar in order to cleanse the area of the evil energies.  YES, as stated before --- some DEVIL-LIGHTS do give off an evil -- sinister energy...  On other occasions the energy that is omitted is docile.

The area is known to the local eccentrics as SPOOK LANE. For generations people have seen orbs, ghosts and have felt evil energy at this door.

The old door is bolted now but through the years, holy candles and rosaries have been put at this place. Furthermore, crosses have been painted on the door in hopes of making the terrible entity that hangs around this area leave.

Ages ago, ALLAN talked to a couple of Mexicans that worked at the hotel (Garrett's Desert Inn) that is beyond this wall. Behind the bolted door is a field, the back of the INN and a few flats. These small buildings are where the on call employees and their families used to live. The migrant workers said, that they kept a 2X4 short beam handy, it was used as a comforter against the unknown and for protection against the human riff -raf. Was ALLAN told the truth or a tall tale?

ABOVE -- DAYTIME TOUR -- TRYING TO LOOK OVER THE STONE WALL, NEAR THE BOLTED DOOR, ON SPPL LANE.

On different dusk-into the night tours, a few times as ALLAN's groups or solo tourist passed the doorway area, something was detected. Either something was sensed, as in a vile energy, or panic and fright would hit one of the spirit walkers. Other times, odd orbs or ghostly type figure or mist was photographed. 

On numerous occasions, Allan on his tours has witnessed some hardened ghostbusters get the chills and haul out of this area at night.

Skeptics claim imagination has led to people seeing or feeling things on this path by the doorway. Some weird beards say there is a ghostly energy that at times roams this lane and sometimes it stays at the bolted gate. A few ghost busters think the spirit or ghost on this lane is that of La Llorona. Allan disagrees with that idea, but he does attest that something at times does haunt this area.

During the day the bolted door area can be very tranquil and at other times the energy on this pathway -- is something out of a suspense film.

Yes orbs or DEVIL LIGHTS--SPOOK LIGHTS have been seen at night near the wall that lines this path, or near the doorway.

This area as of 2015 has now --sadly-- been urbanized------ new buildings have replaced old buildings that flanked the lane. The Question now is --did this new construction scare off the spirits or spirit, or did it make them or it more hostile-- only time will tell!!! -----------------------------------------On a daytime tour left-- Something (MOJO) does comes into this area, or worse --- has its way on this lane. What is it, a ghost, ghosts? Some people claim it is La Llorona, because the haunted road does eventually front the Santa Fe River-- and according to legend---- La Llorona travels the water channels of the area. Who is La Llorona, she is infamous Santa Fe phantom, also known as "THE DITCH WITCH"!

---------------------------On a tour--- on SPOOK LANE-- this beautiful young woman felt very uncomfortable--- on the tour -- when this lady was sensing bad or evil energy---this photo --on the left--was taken --look what came out---- Yes--- at times-- this lane-- even with the new construction that has changed part of its shape and make up----can still be a place where people get a bad vibe and photos of shadows and orbs are taken.

This strange photo--- a man over a body and a orb in the middle of the old 1920s snapshot. Is this staged, is it a murder scene with somebody praying over the corpse? Is the orb legit or camera malfunction? A very interesting photo!

Above investigation, at LOST CEMETERY.  Skeptics will say it is a fake, or a misidentified light, a glitch. Ghost hunters will say, that is a globular, an orb, a devil light. This area in the above photo is known for its paranormal activity.  It is rare when one is able to get a photo of a light, because during the night, far off photos rarely come out.  This photo was  lightened, it was taken in the early AM hours.
